One of my favorite locations for photography on Amtrak’s Springfield Line north of Hartford is the Connecticut River Bridge between Windsor Locks and Enfield. Since Genesee & Wyoming took ownership of the New England Central and Providence & Worcester, there are still a few remaining locomotives in their original paint, and I've always hoped to shoot them on a train together. On an unseasonably warm November 10, 2020 morning along the banks of its namesake river, NECR GP38 3855, P&W Super 7 B23-7R 2215, and CSOR GP38-2 2011 lead Connecticut Southern train CSO-4 with tonnage for CSX in West Springfield, MA.
