Empty northbound CSX K442-26 (Lawrenceville,GA-Chicago,IL/CP) emerges out of the north portal of the Chetoogeta Mountain Tunnel in Tunnel Hill, GA (MP WA-106.7 SE Tunnel Hill) on the Western & Atlantic Sub. With no meets planned the 6,116ft long empty freight will run north for Wauhatchie for a crew swap. CSX 8536 is one of five of the SD50 series that is still on the CSX Active roster, and it seem that the clock is ticking these locomotives. It's hard to believe that at one point an SD50 was a common sight on CSX, being that most of the 8500, 8600, and some of the 2400 series (CR units) were retired due to the PSR practice.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
