The 8705 leads the 4 motors & 21 marble cars up the wet grade to Jasper, screaming in notch 8 as it passes through of the Twin Mountain Lakes community north of Jasper. With 21 loaded cars in tow, one of the bigger trains to have come south from Whitestone, the 4 engines, with 2.5 of them being 567 prime movers (4631 has 645 power assemblies), I knew I would be in for a good show with this rather literal "Throwback Thursday" of a power consist that harkens back to the days before Patriot Rail. But boy, was I proven wrong, because from Talking Rock to Jasper, these 4 motors legitimately put on one of the best shows of noise I've ever gotten to experience. It was so good, that I put my camera away at one point, hit record on my phone, & just enjoyed the show because I didn't want to be distracted from enjoying it despite knowing my video would never do it justice. Also, I'll go ahead & admit it... I was foaming quite a bit during all of this.
