Before the main targets of AF5 and AF7 could hit the street, we were greeted by a pleasant surprise - NICTD's two geeps heading down 11th Street to do god knows what further west of here. The 1000 was recently repainted into an interesting orange and dark maroon scheme, not quite like the freight scheme, but very unique to say the least! The rain was steadily increasing at this point, as you can see by the wet pavement, but the lone passenger waiting in the shelter took as much interest as myself in watching the pair of EMDs roll by.
Again, no strobes, just what light was readily available in the street.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
