The last flakes from the day's winter storm fall in the early morning hours as Canadian Pacific train 251 idles away next to the old station in Jackman, Maine awaiting a recrew to continue west towards Montreal. Since CP's takeover of the Central Maine & Quebec, CP power has become that norm for trains across the line. In recent weeks, the former CMQ has become a holdout for some of CP's older EMD locomotives such as CP 6067, a veteran SD40-2 in its 36th year of service still under its original owner.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
