Soo Line train 220 heads east out of Savanna, Illinois, at 12:25 p.m. on October 24, 1992. The railroad’s abandoned, former Milwaukee Road yard at Savanna is still populated by a large assortment of Soo and Milwaukee cars, most likely awaiting a date with the cutting torch. Today, you can hardly see that there was a yard here, but I guess in 1992, it was pretty difficult to tell too!
