On a cold February 17, 1985 day, a short Wisconsin & Calumet freight slowly curves south at Oneco, Illinois, just south of the Wisconsin state line. A former Milwaukee Road GP9 powers the train, traveling a little used former Illinois Central Gulf branch from Madison, Wisconsin to Freeport. Believe it or not, the three cars contain Huber Beer and Swiss Colony Cheese from Monroe, Wisconsin, a state well-known for both products!
