AMTK No. 624 leads a westbound Amtrak Regional Express past the newly rebuilt Harrison Station. Both Amtrak and NJT bypass Harrison utilizing Newark station, just ahead, across the Passaic River. Harrison is solely used by PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson subway trains). The large open and airy glass stations were completed, October 30th, 2018 for the westbound, and June 15th, 2019, eastbound. In the center foreground is part of the older rebuilt north access, while the original diminutive 1937 brick station is on the opposite site (still adorned with a PRR keystone). Alas, the 1937 station is slated for demolition to make way for an expanded station similar of similar style.
