Exactly 150 years after the inauguration ceremony of the first cogwheel mountain railway in Europe, from Vitznau on the shore of the Vierwaldstättersee (Lake Lucerne) to the Rigi (exactly Rigi Staffelhöhe), there was a celebration with this steamtrain with car B # 5 (built 1871) and steamlocomotive H 1/2 # 7 (built in 1873 by SLM Winterthur). Parallel running on this double track section is railcar BDhe 4/4 # 5 built in 1964 with car B # 1, built in 1871 and B # 8 from 1873. The trains are on a grade of 25.0 % above Freibergen, running towards Rigi Kaltbad-First and Rigi Staffel finally.
