We thought our day was over on December 29, 1975 as we drove east on route 611 on the north side of the Lehigh River in Easton, PA, but, then, we spotted a LV westbound crossing the Delaware River. We stopped at Scott Park located where the Lehigh River runs into the Delaware River to lens this photo of LV GP38-2s 316-314-319 crossing the Lehigh Valley's bridge over the Delaware and into the setting Winter sun. This was a coal train made up of B&O, C&O, and WM hoppers that I would normally associate with the Ludlowville Power Plant near Ithaca, NY. In this timeframe, cars for the power plant would normally come in from the C&O connection at Niagara Falls, NY on COJ-32, so I'm wondering whether this is a re-route due to a derailment somewhere.
