Amtrak returned to "Train Days" for the first time in several years displaying newly released heritage locomotive 161 along with a few passenger cars.
AMTK 161 is the second of Amtrak's "50th Anniversary" specially painted locomotives. This locomotive is painted in "phase 1", similar to that of AMTK 156 from Amtrak's 40th Anniversary.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
