Killin' It. On March 5, 2018, Batten Kill Railroad Alco RS-3 4116 crosses Owl Kill on the way to the interchange with Pan Am Railways at Eagle Bridge, New York. This engine has been working on Delaware & Hudson Rails since being delivered in September of 1952. The word "Kill" is Dutch for "creek", continuing the influence of some of the earliest Europeans who arrived in the area in the 1600s.
