It's late and veteran engineer Brent Thomson slowly bring the Tennessee Central "Murder Mystery & Music Special" back from Watertown, TN through the quite community of Lebanon, TN bound for Nashville, TN. A wast major of the return trip between Watertown and, Lebanon was filled with 10 mph slow orders due to the previous track inspection done by RJ Corman. Not only with that the typical July night storms has only made the trip a little difficult, never the less it was a sight to see L&N 405 leading the return trip through the night. One thing you won't see on this piece of railroad anymore is the 60 mph running speed on the Nashville & Eastern Right of way for excursions. those new operation rules was implemented by the new owners.
Railroading is a 24 hour a day business, that never sleep. From sunset to sunrise the railroad must run. These image are taken by some of the best rail photographer out their.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
