A view of Nickel Plate No. 765 upon her arrival in East Stroudsburg, PA, along the former Delaware, Lackawanna & Western main, en route to the Delaware Water Gap. Taken from the 1908 built DL&W tower during Steamtown's 2015 Labor Day Weekend Railfest.
The tower still contains the original mechanical interlocking machine though no longer controls switches or signals. A few of the large levers, however, can still be operated to demonstrate the features of the machines. No mechanical interlocking machines of this type remain in service in the United States.
