Erie EMD E8(A) No. 833 sits on the former Erie turntable in Port Jervis, NY, under clear skies late one Summer's evening, back in 2007. No. 833 was acquired by the New York & Greeenwood Lake Railroad and repainted from its previous Conrail Executive train livery back into its original Erie livery. The original intent was to run dinner excursions along the Delaware River, but sadly, those plans never materialized. Today, the locomotive resides in storage at SMS Rail Lines in Logan Township, New Jersey.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
