ALCO Safari Day 4, WNYP: In the morning, two of WNYP's veteran ALCO's drag a heavy cut of cars out of the yard in Meadville, exhibiting the classic ALCO turbo lag. Don't let the smoke fool you, the 251 is actually a pretty fuel efficient design. The plan this day, originally, was to run out the branch to Oil City, PA, but there proved to be far too much yard/local work to accomplish first, Oil City would have to wait.
