An original, Santa Fe Railway bell bottom lantern burns brightly on one of the few remaining sections of rail in the Raton yard that has held out from the days of being laid by the Santa Fe. Although this line only sees the daily passages of Amtrak's Southwest Chiefs, much of the mainline has been replaced with ribbon rail from its original jointed rail.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
