80 centimeter gauge track of the Pilatus Bahnen with the Locher cogwheel system (steepest cogwheel railway worldwide), going down along the Eselwand (donkey rock wall) towards Alpnachstad, with a grade of estimated about 40 % or more. The track with rails and rack, fixed with steel anchors to the stone substructure, dates back to the time of the construction of the railroad in 1889. View out of a 1937 built Bhe 1/2 railcar running down from Pilatus Kulm to Alpnachstad in about 40 minutes.
