The newest of Loram's 420 series Rail Grinders is working the BNSF Seattle sub in the Tacoma area. This is the RG421, configured with 3 grinding cars, 2 - 75,000 gal water cars , a tool/crew car, control cab car and power car. The most obvious new feature is the extensive LED lighting. They light up the entire area around the train and the headlights are blindingly bright.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
