Several locomotives are gathered at the servicing tracks at Union Pacific’s Burnham Shops in Denver Colorado, on the eve of December 17, 2015. Along with active units in for repair like UP EMD SD60M No. 2300 and GE AC4400CW No. 7212, several strings of older locomotives like those on the right, are also stored at the facility during this timeframe. Unfortunately, this entire complex closed in February 2016, with all buildings abandoned and all tracks visible in this photo removed.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
