Railcar ABe 4/4 # 46 of the Rhaetian Railway, also called "Tw II" (railcar second generation of the Bernina line) and built in 1965 in a series of 6 by SWS, SAAS and BBC with 680 kW, is used nowadays by the infrastructure department. But this new in the apperance of the early 1970' painted railcar, also called "Goldliner", is in service as passenger train for the participants of a R.M. photo charter on the Bernina with the "Bernina Crocodile" Ge 4/4 # 182. The vehicle ist standing on track 4 in Pontresina in the early morning for the departure to Ospizio Bernina at 7.29 AM.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
