Remarks & Notes
Plenty of St. Patrick's Day green covers the Cascades' east slopes in May 1984 as BN 6432 grinds its heavy westbound train up the 1 percent grade out of the Wenatchee River Valley at Peshastin, WA, just east of Leavenworth. Lumber mills were still providing loads for BN and SD45s could still be found on the point of their trains, albeit a bit weather worn.
