Paired Up. Webb Rail's former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner/sleeper "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) was joined by former New York Central lounge/diner/sleeper "Swift Stream" (RPCX 800460) took the trip together on Amtrak Train 43 (Pennsylvanian) on Friday, May 20, 2022. They are seen in the Amtrak Pittsburgh Station after being wyed and parking for the night. Note that the "ears" are out on the "Brook", with the extra cable connections required exposed so that the car can be between the engine and the rest of the train from New York Penn Station to Philadelphia 30th Street Station. These cars ran together for many years on the "New England States", New York Central's Boston to Chicago overnight train and were reunited for this trip. Passing on the left is a westbound Norfolk Southern freight train, while the Ohio Central "Sugar Creek" (800003) sits on the right.
