Quite a line-up, indeed! Each day at the July, 2022 "Great Western Steam-Up" at the Nevada State Railroad Museum seemed to feature a new and interesting line-up of locomotives. With 15 steam locomotives present, and 9 under steam, they had a lot of power to show off. Here's the line-up that greeted visitors on the morning of the second day. From the left, Carson & Tahoe Lumber & Fluming Co. #1 "Glenbrook", a 2-6-0, narrow gauge, wood-burner. Next, Virginia & Truckee Railway #21 "J.W. Bowker", a 2-4-0, standard gauge, wood-burner. Southern Pacific #18, a 4-6-0, narrow gauge, oil-burner. Virginia & Truckee Locomotive #25, a 4-6-0, standard gauge, oil-burner. And lastly, on the right, Bluestone Mining & Smelting #1, a 2-Truck Heisler, standard gauge, oil-burner. Never before have these locomotives been together like this, and it is unlikely it will happen again, at least in my lifetime.
