Gaviota. The Amtrak Coast Starlight (Train 11) was running on time as it passed through Goleta, California on March 29, 2022. Webb Rail's former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built Pullman dome/sleeper 313 (WEBX 801044), former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built dome/coach 549 (WEBX 801045), and former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner/sleeper "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) were on the rear of the train as it crossed the former Southern Pacific Railroad (now Union Pacific) Gaviota Trestle. The line was completed in 1901 by SPRR, more than 36 years after it began, but is still utilized by Amtrak and Amtrak California passenger trains as well as UPRR freight on a daily basis.
