Checks Location... Oregon, well, here's a locale I've never really shot. We're on Lerro Production's 'Oregon Steam 2022' safari as we catch the setting sun in Oregon's Willamette Valley ( a journey on which I didn't contract dysentery, so boom, I beat the Oregon Trail). Here's the Santa Maria Valley 2-6-2 #203 on the final runby of the trip as the sun prepares to set behind Oregon's Coast Range. The little prairie is getting up and going for the final stretch into Lebanon.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
