Different Paths To The Same Place. Side by side at the NJ Transit Hoboken Terminal, the next pair of Pascack Valley Line trains - NJTR GP40PH-2A 4203 (ex-CR 3222, née-PC 3222, GP40, 11/1968) for 2119 on the left and NJTR GP40PH-2 4101 (née-CNJ 3672, NJ DOT Heritage, 10/1968, GP40P) for 2121 on the right were built by EMD just a month apart, but had very different fates. NJTR 4203 spent a career operating in freight service before being selected for the New Jersey Transit rebuild program while 4101 was sent to the Central Railroad of New Jersey and has been in passenger service the whole time. The two sit side by side in the former Lackawanna Terminal on the evening of Sunday, November 6, 2022 as the last strains of sun shine into the train shed.
