Remarks & Notes |
Shared Track: Underground.
A Bakerloo Line train to Harrow & Wealdstone is seen arriving at Willesden Junction station. Between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone, the Bakerloo Line shares tracks with Overground trains running to Watford via the Watford DC Line. The differences in the rolling stock are stark: Underground trains use Metro-Cammell 1972 Stock from, obviously, 1972 whereas Overground trains use Bombardier Class 710 trains from 2017-2020. The large difference in floor heights between the two trains means that there is a ~12" step down into Bakerloo Line trains, and a few inch step up into Overground trains. This is clearly not conducive to level boarding for accessibility requirements, so I am curious to see how this is rectified in the future. |
