In Windsor Locks, the popular locations for photographing trains are along Route 159 which parallels the Springfield Line, the former New Haven Railroad Depot, and the bridge spanning the Connecticut River. However, the area on the north side of the former depot will eventually see change. Although the location is not very photogenic, it’s still worth documenting as this area will soon be home to the new Windsor Locks Station. The switch seen in this photo is for the Suffield Industrial, which will also be relocated. On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, Connecticut Southern CSO-4 heads south for Hartford with 58 C&D empty trash cars.
