The last sunlight of December 3, 1988, lights up the autoracks on a Grand Trunk Western freight, led by freshly-painted GTW EMD GP38-2 No. 5721, at Blue Island, Illinois. The eastbound train is crossing one of the truss bridges over the Little Calumet River.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
