End of the Service
New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R160A no. 9587 (Alstom, 2005-2010) is seen on the end of a G train that just arrived at its northern terminal: Court Square. Though G service ends here, the physical infrastructure does not: the Crosstown Line continues, connecting to the local tracks of the Queens Boulevard Line at Queens Plaza Station. G trains formerly served the QBL as well, but services were cut back to provide additional capacity for services to Manhattan, which garnered higher ridership than the outer-borough route.
