DMIR 129 has finished switching at the Koppers tie plant and is about to cross a unique trestle over Bluff Creek en route to south Itasca and the C&NW interchange. This bridge is one of three unique trestles on the Interstate Branch on DM&IR's Wisconsin trackage. The deck is all steel, no wood or concrete ties, no ballasted deck. DM&IR of course was one of U. S. Steel's railroads, and this branch is now part of Canadian National's mainline from Winnipeg, MB to Chicago & beyond. DMIR 129 is wearing a DMIR heritage scheme.
