Reflecting On A Job Well Done. On the afternoon of Friday, September 9, 2022, Railroad Museum of New England/Naugatuck Railroad Freight (RMNE) NAUG 859 (née-NW 859, GP9, 6/1959) and NAUG 686 (née-NW 686, GP9, 3/1959) were heading down to the railroad’s freight interchange when they crossed the Naugatuck River over Chase Bridge in Waterbury, Connecticut. This location has always been a favorite spot for photographers on the line, and allows for a nice comparison view of both recently completed engines.
