History at Hoboken.
Erie Lackawanna Railway (EL) U34CH no. 3372 (GE, 1970-1973) and Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) E8 no. 5711 (EMD, 1949-1954) are seen side by side during NJ Transit's 40th Anniversary event at Hoboken Terminal. The locomotives were on loan for the event from their respective owners, the United Railroad Heritage Society of New Jersey (URHS) and the Juniata Terminal Company. On the platform next to the E8 is one of the stone eagles from the original Pennsylvania Station in New York, which was rescued when the palatial station was demolished.
