CSX: "We're gonna pay tribute to our heritage." FCEN: "Hold our beers...". This has been a long time coming, going back to 2011 when the ex-CN GP9 were being considered for this treatment. #57 debuted in this variant honoring the former ACL/SCL heritage of the region on 10/27, leading the Frostproof Turn south out of Lake Wales, then it ran over to Winter Haven until the new GP15 models arrive. GP9 #60 is taking #57's place in the interim. SW1200 #94 had been on the Gordonsville Spur, also relocated from the Frostproof Branch, but has been sold and sent off to Locomotive Specialists. THAT would have looked good like this, too.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
