This day, the formerly privately owned locomotive Ae 6/8 # 206 was officially given over to the BLS Stiftung (BLS foundation) in Burgdorf. The BLS Foundation was able to take over the no longer operational locomotive from SLM Gmbh in Winterthur, where it had previously been refurbished. The Ae 6/8 # 206 was built by SLM and SAAS around 1940 for the Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon Railway and was one of the most powerful locomotives in the world at the time. In the middle is the operational Ae 6/8 # 205 of the BLS Foundation. On the left is former Bodensee-Toggenburg-Bahn Be 4/4 # 11, built by SLM and SAAS in 1931, privately owned, which brought the Ae 6/8 # 206 from Winterthur.
