The FRA inspection train rounds the curve at Hypoluxo North on its way down to Miami. This year, the agency sent DOTX 216, a former Amtrak Metroliner car originally built by Budd for the Penn Central in 1968. This car is equipped to measure rail wear, track alignment, car body forces, and so on.
My images of FEC, Tri-Rail, Amtrak, Brightline, and CSX trains south of Okeechobee (on the CSX Auburndale Subdivision) and Fort Pierce (on the FEC mainline).
