Lighting Stripes, Big City. On the evening of Tuesday, February 20, 2024, MTA Metro-North Railroad Train 855 was flying up the Park Avenue viaduct as it approached the Harlem-125 Street Station in New York, New York with MNCW 211 (New York Central/40th Ann) leading. The sunset hour brings some nice color to the sky as the modern P32AC-DM carries the legendary railroad's traditional paint scheme, traveling the same rails as the P and T motors that modeled it so well for previous generations.
The reason railpictures.net has captured my imagination for so many years. Images of quality and distinction, in other words, amazing railroad photography.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
