Fairbanks Morse Erie-built 6000hp A-B-A passenger locomotive No. 90 was at the LA Union Passenger Terminal on August 9, 1954, Built in January 1947, "Notable Ninety" was notable only for its penchant to fail while handling an important passenger train and was barred from the streamliners. Retirement came after only 16 years, in 1963, when it was sent to GE for new U25B roadswitchers. Name "Erie" comes from the fact that the GE Erie Works built the units.
