I Swam Across, I Jumped Across For You. The passing meet of MTA Metro-North Railroad Train 8849 with MNCW 201 (MTA-Conrail/40th Ann) and Train 8856 with MNCW 217 (NYS-PC/40th Ann) could not have occurred with a more appropriate sky at sunset on Saturday, April 6, 2024, just south of the Scarborough, New York Station on the Hudson River. These two heritage wraps are very similar colors, unique representations of the New York State supported commuter service paint scheme and not used on the rest of those railroads’ equipment. This meet was a little bit extra special as the Penn Central heritage wrap has only been in service for a handful of days in its new colors.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
