Minutes before the bottom was about to fallout, the power of CSX M502-04 (Nashville,TN-Chicago,IL) is making its way down to the drill out of the yard trk-C06 to pick up its short train out of Yard trk-C05 before departure. CSXT NÂș 1852 Western Maryland heritage unit is making its appearance in Nashville as the second motor assigned to M502. The WM a small Class I operated out of West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland as a full independent road until it 1975. By that time the Western Maryland which is under the Chessie System Holding Co. begin to abolish most of the WM route in favor of the parallel B&O route. In 1983 it became fully merged with the B&O then was merged again by the C&O's Chessie System eventually becoming part of CSX. While I'm amazed that this scheme is still in prestige condition, I'm wondering how long will it be till the half circus scheme will be dirtied up?
