Before each season, which begins this year on June 20, the cars on the Furka Mountain Steam Railway have to prove that their brakes are working perfectly. For this purpose, brake tests are carried out on each individual carriage and documented. Here it is the turn of the tank car Uhk # 2872 (built 1940 for the Furka-Oberalp-Bahn, taken over by the BFD in 2020, used as water transport car for Tiefenbach mostly), which is being pushed by the steam locomotive HG 4/4 # 704 on the rack track to the Wiler bridge. There is still snow on the track above the Wiler bridge; snow clearance will begin this year on May 20.
