| "Bridge Plates at NRO"
On a cloudy afternoon on April 21st, 2024, Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line Train 6364 makes its station stop on Track 1 at New Rochelle, New York, using bridge plates. Bridge plates allow trains to use a high-level platform even when track work is occurring on the station track. Bridge plates are rarely used at New Rochelle station because 3 out of the 4 tracks already have platforms.
