Heading Back to Girard. On the night of June 5, 2011, SEPTA PCC-II 2333 heads out of the loop at Richmond & Westmoreland on the Route 15 on the way to 63-Girard. At this time, there were a handful of these cars that still had traditional roll signs like this car, but soon they would all have electronic signs. The building with the large SEPTA logo was a crew facility, during the extended shutdown, this building has been replaced and the new building does not have a logo. A short time later on April 29, 2012, trolley service was suspended between Richmond & Westmoreland and Girard & Frankford, and thus far has not yet been restored.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
