| GRAND PRAIRIE TX (February) 1986 — Missouri Pacific GP50 3521 and B30-7A 4847 have the point on a mixed freight. EMD built the unit (b/n 807023-12) for MoPac in January 1981. It gained Union Pacific yellow livery in September 1984. As part of the move to the UP 50 series it was renumbered to UP 71. It was then renumbered UP 981 in May 1992, UP 5579 in March 1997, UP 1679 in December 2001 and was retired on Sept 30 2004. Corrections and/or additions welcome. (Photo by Charles Stookey) |
