Remarks & Notes
Special Car From Lake Compounce. Connecticut Company open car no. 1414 (Osgood-Bradley, 1911) is on display in front of the car barns at the Shore Line Trolley Museum, having recently returned from a 27-year stint at Lake Compounce. The 113 year old car was one of a fleet of 80 open cars that accommodated the large crowds attending Yale Bowl football games. They last ran on Thanksgiving Day in 1947, with all trolley service in New Haven ceasing the following year.
