Remarks & Notes
On July 6, 2024, SBB Historic opened an exhibition on the history of the Gotthard Railway in Erstfeld in the old, renovated steam shed from 1881. Part of the exhibition includes 4 important electric locomotives, from left to right: "Landilok" Ae 8/14 # 11852 from 1939, a double locomotive with around 12000 hp and the most powerful locomotive in the world at the time. Passenger locomotive Be 4/6 # 12332 from 1922 from a series of 40 locomotives built. Freight locomotive prototype "Köfferlilok" or "grandmother" Ce 6/8 I # 14201, built in 1919, predecessor of the crocodile locomotives. Far right Ae 6/6 # 11402 "Uri" from 1952. This locomotive is operational and is operated by the Erstfeld Historical Locomotives at the Gotthard Association, the other three are no longer operational.
