Remarks & Notes
A local train from Campbell Hall, NY heads south on the Hudson Secondary (former Lehigh & Hudson River) through a winding section of both road and railway in the northern section of Chester, NY. The lead engine was built for Southern Pacific as SP 5114. It went to the East Penn Railroad as EPNY 5114 and later ESPN 5114. For about 10 years starting in 2010, it was used by the Middletown & New Jersey Railroad in Campbell Hall, NY. In 2021, the locomotive was scrapped. On the hind end is MNJ 773 (GP9u).
