A large sign featuring the town's railroad heritage welcomes travelers on US Highway 14 to Lamberton, MN while in the distance a westbound Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern train utilizes the former Chicago & North Western tracks through town. I've always wanted to try to get this kind of shot here, but it takes a westbound train on a summer evening when the sun is on the north side of the tracks, not to mention the field in the foreground being planted with soybeans rather than corn.
