Remarks & Notes
PAL 4120 has returned to home rails at Louisville after a visit to the CSX paint shop in Huntington, WV. When the unit was interchanged to CSX during May 2024 it wore UP yellow with wings blacked out and P&L patches. The first of nine former UP SD70Ms acquired for PAL/EVWR to be painted into P&L colors, the reintroduction of the black stripe is a welcome touch and also sets these units apart from the 4500-series SD70MACs. Those with an eye for detail may notice other differences, such as the smaller but more colorful logos and placement of white stripes.
